Der japanische Kabelhersteller Canare hat das neue dämpfungsarme Koaxialkabel Ultra Coax L-8CUHD auf den Markt gebracht, mit dem 12G-SDI-Signale über eine Entfernung von mehr als 140 Metern (je nach verwendeter Technologie bis zu 148 Metern) weitergeleitet werden können! Das Kabel hat eine Dämpfung von nur 27,9 dB/100 m @ 6 GHz bei einem Durchmesser von 11,1 mm und einem Gewicht von 14,1 kg/100 m aufgrund seines speziellen Aufbaus (mit dicht geflochtener verzinnter Kupfer- und Kupferfolienabschirmung, 2 mm Innenleiter, mehrlagiger PE-Isolierung usw.).
